Java Edition
Add Valeriano from a computer without installing client-side mods.
Quick start
- Open Minecraft: Java Edition.
- Choose Multiplayer, then Add Server.
- Enter
Valerianoas the server name. - Paste the private server address provided by the owner.
- Save, select the server, and join.
What Java players need
Valeriano runs on Paper and does not require a custom client, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, or a modpack for normal play. Start with the regular Minecraft launcher and a compatible game version.
The server has a version-compatibility layer, but the exact accepted client range can change when Minecraft or the server is updated. If your normal up-to-date client is rejected, report the version and exact message rather than testing random server details.
What happens after joining
You should arrive at the shared protected spawn in Survival mode. Claims are blocked in the spawn sanctuary, so travel outside it before using /lands claim.
Then continue with:
- Lands to protect a base.
- Travel for TPA, one home, and
/spawn. - Player Commands for the complete regular-player list.
If joining fails
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| Unknown host or cannot resolve hostname | Copy the private address again without extra spaces. |
| Connection refused or timed out | Check the website status card, then ask whether the server is under maintenance. |
| Outdated or incompatible client | Record your exact Java Edition version and the full error. |
| Authentication or session error | Close Minecraft and the launcher, sign in again, and retry once. |
| You connect somewhere unexpected | Leave and contact the owner; do not continue entering commands. |
Do not guess alternate ports or publish connection details while asking for help.
