Use balances, player payments, and safe player-to-player chest shops on Valeriano.

Quick start

  1. Check your money with /balance.
  2. Pay another player with /pay PlayerName Amount.
  3. To make a selling shop: place a chest, hold the item you want to sell, left-click the chest, then type the price in chat.
  4. Put stock into the shop chest.
  5. To switch a shop into buying mode, right-click its shop sign or shop info and choose the shop-mode change option.

Player-to-player only: Valeriano does not use server buy shops, server sell shops, admin shops, unlimited shops, or /sell.

Money is meant to move between players. Future quest or event rewards may add more money later, but they need separate balance tuning first.

Selling shops

A selling shop means other players buy from you.

  1. Place a chest where you are allowed to build.
  2. Hold the item you want the shop to sell.
  3. Left-click the chest.
  4. Type the price in chat.
  5. Put items into the chest as stock.

When someone buys from the shop, they pay you and receive the item from your stock.

Buying shops

A buying shop means other players sell items to you.

Use this only when you want to spend your own balance collecting an item from other players. Right-click the shop sign or shop info, open the shop control panel, and change the shop mode from selling to buying.

If your buying shop runs out of money or chest space, trades may stop until you refill money or make room.

Claims and chest safety

QuickShop trades should work through the shop interaction. Visitors should not need normal chest access just to buy or sell at a registered shop.

What should happen in a claim:

  • Visitors can trade with a valid shop.
  • Visitors should not be able to open ordinary private chests.
  • Visitors should not be able to break, hopper-drain, or directly steal from shop chests.
  • Land owners should keep ordinary storage separate from shop stock.

If a shop trade fails inside a claim, or if a visitor can open normal chests, stop testing and report the location.

What is intentionally disabled

  • /sell
  • Server buy shops
  • Server sell shops
  • Admin shops
  • Unlimited shops
  • Shop taxes
  • Lands taxes and upkeep

Verification status

Server-side setup and permissions are configured for player-to-player shops, $500 starting balances, no /sell, and protected claim behavior. The remaining check is hands-on Java and Bedrock/mobile testing: create a shop, buy, sell, confirm normal chests stay protected, and confirm claim no-PvP still behaves correctly.
